the (few) things i know

you should both be so proud of me! why? my house is CLEAN. that hasn't happened for a while.

al and amber and i went out for lunch at s'ghetti works today. (they served as the motivation to the cleaning frenzy.) the food was good and we had fun. then we just hung out at my house until i had to come here. (work world that is.)

i have been staying busy, but not too busy thus far. it is making the time go quickly and that is what i like. celia was supposed to be here, but for some reason switched to tomorrow night and i was sorta glad. i like her, but things are so much simpler (and quicker) when i can work by myself.

that is about all that i know so i will leave you.
laters friends!

A day of extremes

Item 1: I woke up extremely early.

Item 2: I did a lot of things today and have lots and lots of news. It's like there's always NO news, or tons of it.

Item 3: I remembered to pack a lunch for work, and even brought extra since I'll be having both an afternoon snack and dinner while here. Then I got here, and Lori told me that there was leftover lasagna and lettuce salad in the fridge if I got hungry. On my own, I discovered cookies (3 kinds!), cake, muffins, and tootsie rolls. By "discovered" I do not mean ATE, but still. They're all here. Plus what I packed. It's wonderful, but also kind of cruel because last Wednesday when I was here I forgot to pack any food and there was nothing to eat here. Nothing. I even searched the super-secret-I'm-not-supposed-to-know-there's-food-there-but-there's-food-there cupboard. It was bare. I was hungry.

Item 4: I registered for the LSAT today!

Item 5: Jason found out that he tore his MCL (knee ligament). Did I tell you that he hurt it water skiing? It happened last week but he didn't go to the doctor until yesterday, and then a specialist today. He has a big brace, but at least he's off crutches (that only lasted one day--yesterday).

Item 6: TWO HOURS of tornado warnings in Douglas County last night. Wears a girl out.

Item 7: First column runs either tomorrow or Thursday!

That's all for now--I gotta get back to work.

Updates

It's the first weekend of school and I have tons of homework! This is craziness!

I am almost finished with the stuff due tomorrow (Monday) but I have significantly more due on Tuesday. Oh well.

I should have a pretty fun week because the movie I, Robot is showing free at the Union on Wednesday, and hopefully I will get to meet with the pre-law advisor sometime this week as well. I don't think most people would equate free movies with meeting with advisors... but that's me: A little weird on the school side. Oh, and our column is running this Thursday at this website. I'll give you a more specific link when it's posted. I'm a bit nervous about it. We say a semi-bad word in it. You'll see.

Jason's new apartment is nice--and only a 5-7 minute walk from my house! Mom, I knew you would appreciate the exactness of my timing. Always 5-7... probably 5 downhill and 7 uphill. :-)

Anyway, I need to get back to my homework. I need to get to bed at a decent hour!

Love,
april
