well, today's the day

I've had two big "down" points today and the rest of the day I just haven't been thinking about Jason being gone, at least not thinking about it enough to bug me. I just wish we could talk on the phone or something regularly! Hopefully I'll get his mailing address SOON, though I read online it could take up to a week. Even though he made it to Texas today, some people don't show up until Thursday or Friday--so I'm not sure what he does until everyone gets there, or if they have to wait for everyone to do stuff like mail out their address cards.

So "Week One" begins Sunday/Monday, and he'll be there six weeks after that. He could leave Texas as early as Saturday August 7 or as late as... well, probably as late as Tuesday or Wednesday (10-11). Most people at basic training are there for active duty, which means they don't have a break between basic training and their technical school, which they would leave for the Sunday/monday after basic is over. Hopefully Jason will get to come home as early as possible!

Sorry this is all I have to talk about today--I'm sure I'll have more interesting things to talk about (Shakespeare?) soon.

mi familia

hi ladies. (nice ladies, i might add.) it is sunday night and work hasn't bombarded me, thus far. good news, huh? i had a very lazy day. i made several attempts at napping and succeeded for a few short moments, read anna, watched a bit of television, did some dishes and laundry, and that was about it. pril, i think i may have found the miracle anti-frizz stuff. it is, fittingly, called "magic" and i believe it is made by the company osis. i will double check this when i am at home. perhaps i shouldn't speak so soon, having only used it once, but it seems to have done the trick for today. well. i really don't know a lot or even a little. so. i will be on my way. love you both!
