coldness = crappiness

i just looked at the clock and realized that april is already "checking in" and going through the thumbprint, etc. motions. pril - i meant to call you this morning and wish you luck, but my brain is not working too quickly and i know you will do fine even without my luck wish. anyways - i am wishing you luck, just didn't get to say it out loud.

i am going to pick up al in an about an hour and we are going to the state fairgrounds for the library book sale. hopefully will find some good books - but not too many. i can't believe how cold it is. i like summer. the only good thing about it is that i get to wear a stocking cap this morning and i like stocking caps.

later friends.

Two Items

What you said about grandma reminded me of how she always says, "Thank you for saying that honey" when she calls early in the morning and I say "it's ok" after she finds out she woke me up. The thing is, I don't mean "it's ok," I just say it. :-)

Secondly--I'm cooking ground turkey to put in tacos and for some reason I started thinking about our family's cooking habits. I never knew that people had grease traps/grease cans in their kitchens until I lived in Sellards. Today I realized that this might is because we rarely cook meat with enough fat that it would clog the drain if it went down... and so we never had a grease can growing up, did we?

Laura used to always say she never knew anyone else who rinsed ground beef. I just think it's amusing. Gotta go check on the turkey!

me again.

have you all seen the commercial about how cable is better than puppies? it cracks me up. the blogger guy isn't liking me too well. i wrote the previous post last night, but it didn't publish to the blog. so i just did it today.

i woke up feeling quite productive - did some laundry, dishes, made muffins and cleaned a bit. then, i got tired of being productive and watched tv - sex and the city and bruce almighty. i think that i now need to go back to a bit of productivity. so - i'll be seeing you.

525,600 minutes

hello people.
i just wanted to tell you that i am excited for our upcoming trip to the lied center. also, i wanted you to share in the extremes of my days.

yesterday: i had a nice day of reading, sleeping, library time (which, i suppose, should technically fall under the "reading" category), and not much else.

today: i had 12 hours of work with VERY LITTLE sitting down and much running around and i must say that i more than earned my pay for the day.

i made it home and am ready for some food and then some lazy time.

Today I am like Mom because:

I cleaned house before my HDFL group came over. And I made brownies & lemonade for them (crystal light, to be exact).

Today I am not like Mom because:
I didn't think twice about the carpet. And I ate too many of said brownies (4, to be exact).

It's official:

we're going to Seattle in January! I'm excited!

I have about an hour and a half to study before I need to go to class. My test is in my last class (2:30), and I can't decide if I should be worried about it or not. So... I guess I'm not TOO worried about it!

I don't have any fun stories to tell you right now... but I will post again soon when I do.
