List

What a day! Rather than describing in great detail, I feel like making a list.

1-I was on my way to a meeting with a professor, when someone from the Honors program called to see if I'd like to attend the lunch being held for S. Pinker--I'll tell you about him later--on Friday. I had to decline because of another meeting. Boo.
2-I picked up the paper on campus, and our column wasn't there. Haven't heard back from the editors about why yet... so I hope it runs tomorrow. Second Boo.
3-I got e-mails from two law schools with invitations to apply and fee waivers. Yay!
4-My favorite language professor agreed to work on my honors essay with me. Yay!
5-I made a dentist appointment for next week. Not sure if I should say boo or yay about this one. But I'm productive, dangit.
6-I'm on my way to work! I'm sure I'll talk to you both soon.

Weird Day

Creepy! But cool! But still kind of creepy!

I know that you must be starting to wonder if the only things I post anymore are links. This is a good one to see--because I found our article on a website that we actually researched (and were slightly creeped out by) when working on the article. So I'm very weirded out.

Today Dr.Laird told me that I could be a musicology professor if I wanted to. And then Lauren started telling me about her dissertation proposal to Cambridge in England. So... the old engines in my head are turning again, and I'm starting to reconsider what I should do after graduation. It does pain me, quite a lot, that I have to choose between two really good English professors for a class this semester. I am also disappointed that I can't take a class that's all about the correctness and standardization of English... I just don't think I have time.

The thing is--even if I DO go to graduate school, I will want to study something language AND music related, which might be difficult to do. I don't want to choose! People! I'm indecisive!
