cassie is our dog
And what a cute dog she is! The other morning she hid from mom and pretended to sleep to avoid going running in the rain. Intelligence runs in the family.

Laptop
Hey mom,
Do you still have a laptop and do you think there is any hope for it?
I used one today at the library and it made me realize how nice it would be to have one around even just for word processing.
Just a thought. I sent you yet ANOTHER membership thing. brooke, you may need to help her with this.
:-)
EDIT:
By the way, I set this up to keep the posts from one week on the main page, and after that they'll start archiving. Is this good for everyone? I could make it archive more often if we want it to.
shakespeare cont'd
oddly enough, your day at the library (including the packed lunch) sounds quite enjoyable to me at the moment. of couse i can say that - not having any homework actually due. i will print out your list of shakespeare and see what i can find at the good ol' wahoo library. i have one book left in my stack from tricia - so soon i will be free to continue on with my reading in a more literary fashion.
time to plant some grass - i bought a big galvanized tub thingy to plant it in. pril, is yours sprouting?
Shakespeare
Here is a copy of the reading list for my summer class:
Required texts: François Laroque, The Age of Shakespeare (Abrams); Shakespeare: Hamlet; Henry V; Julius Caesar; The Merchant of Venice; The Taming of the Shrew; The Tempest; Twelfth Night (all Folger Shakespeare Library editions).
I posted last night but for some reason it didn't go through. Oh Well.
Mom, are you on here yet?
Today I must go to the library and stay there a very long time. I'm even packing a lunch. I'll talk to you both soon.
It's the middle of the night!
It's the middle of the night and I am writing you a message!
I just got home from a surprise graduation party that Jenny and Nick's roommate's girlfriend had for Nick and his roommate. It was kind of weird. But generally fun, except that I didn't want to drink (and didn't).
Kim and Matt and I are going to watch a movie and do a little studying now. You two had better call me this weekend!

entry #3
i see that i was supposed to name my last entry "entry #2" or maybe even "Entry #2" - that's what grandpa kenny would have liked.
anyway - the "cake and punch (and sandwiches too)" of my last entry were nummy to my tummy - although the cake had the whipped type of frosting rather than the icing that my tastebuds prefer. there were, however, two kinds of punch (both very good) - and i believe that this more than made up for the frosting issues.
al and i went furniture shopping in omaha. i have done lots of furniture shopping lately. there are two couches that i am in love with. one is significantly more costly than the other, but also more readily available and i must admit that i do like it more. oh the whoas of being a girl who "has" to buy furniture. poor me.
pril - you should give me a list of the shakespeare that is to be read. i will see what i can do.
happy friday night to all. love, brooke
yippee
hello family. i successfully accepted my invite and signed up for all this bloginess.
cassie (our dog) would also like to say hello. she was a pretty good girl this morning - although she did take one quick trip around the neighborhood.
well, i am outa here - headed to erin's graduation party. looking forward to cake and punch (sandwiches too!)

Any Luck?
Any luck getting membership? Keep me updated--I think you can leave comments at the end of a post.
My homework is making me nuts!
