when the sister is home

hey folks.  work has kept me busy so far, but not too busy.  that's the way (uh huh, uh huh) we like it.

i wanted to let you guys now my schedule for the week when prillie is home.  saturday the 31st - kristin's wedding in omaha.  sunday - work night shift.  wednesday/thursday - work day shift.   saturday - amy's wedding.  sunday - work night shift.  also, wednesday is al's birthday, so i'm not sure if there are plans for the "event."

so that's the scoop.  pril, i hope you are having fun at the baseball game!  i think it sounds like fun.

p.s.  i am jealous that you get to see the namesake of our blog this weekend.

Dear Cassie,

I wish you the speediest of recoveries.  I am really sorry that that darn big dog bit you.  Please get better soon and then come visit me this weekend.

3 of 3

thank you both for being night-time-talk-on-the-phone-friends these past few nights. you are nice ladies. i asked off the 2nd of august, but have to work overnight the night before. it is getting close to midnight and that means that i am almost half done for the night. yippee! it has been easy going so far - i will keep my fingers crossed.
love you guys, bsb

Oops

Oh, guys, I made a big oops.

I was looking at my checking account just now and saw that two transactions had gone in over the weekend at the grocery store, for really similar amounts. For the life of me, I could only remember going there once. So I called the bank, they're now "researching it," etc., then i called the grocery store who looked it up and even REMINDEd me what I bought Friday morning (thank you for local store service!) so now I know that I just lost one receipt and really did go there twice.

I feel like an old lady for forgetting so much!

Now I gotta call the bank...

More matter with less art.

My Shakespeare teacher has worn a t-shirt to class twice that says "more matter with less art" and I didn't realize until now, when I came upon it in Hamlet, that it means, "cut the crap and get to the point." How appropriate for such a bitter little man!

Three Days?

Do you have to work Tuesday night as well?

Yikes!

I have read one of two acts that I need to read in Hamlet... and I've started on my cover letter but am having trouble there.

I will call you BOTH soon!

night 1 of 3

my first "three day stretch" - a funny thing when most people work 5 days in a row every week. i guess we shouldn't have a pity party for me. work has been quiet so far tonight. my first night alone with no tiffany - which will make it a longer morning and means i will have to poke more people. hopefully not too many.

dad and connie came and visited. they didn't get to stay for long - came at 4:30 or so and i had to leave for work at 5:40. we just sat and talked and such.

sadly, i know very little else. hope the zoo and the hamlet reading were enjoyable and not too miserable with the HEAT! love you both. -bsb
