A day of extremes

Item 1: I woke up extremely early.

Item 2: I did a lot of things today and have lots and lots of news. It's like there's always NO news, or tons of it.

Item 3: I remembered to pack a lunch for work, and even brought extra since I'll be having both an afternoon snack and dinner while here. Then I got here, and Lori told me that there was leftover lasagna and lettuce salad in the fridge if I got hungry. On my own, I discovered cookies (3 kinds!), cake, muffins, and tootsie rolls. By "discovered" I do not mean ATE, but still. They're all here. Plus what I packed. It's wonderful, but also kind of cruel because last Wednesday when I was here I forgot to pack any food and there was nothing to eat here. Nothing. I even searched the super-secret-I'm-not-supposed-to-know-there's-food-there-but-there's-food-there cupboard. It was bare. I was hungry.

Item 4: I registered for the LSAT today!

Item 5: Jason found out that he tore his MCL (knee ligament). Did I tell you that he hurt it water skiing? It happened last week but he didn't go to the doctor until yesterday, and then a specialist today. He has a big brace, but at least he's off crutches (that only lasted one day--yesterday).

Item 6: TWO HOURS of tornado warnings in Douglas County last night. Wears a girl out.

Item 7: First column runs either tomorrow or Thursday!

That's all for now--I gotta get back to work.
