brooke vs. the rest of the world

hello family.

i just talked to mom - who thought she was calling dave. funny lady. before that i talked to al - who needs me to help her get her car from the towing place. another funny lady. before that i talked to pril - who is hosting a pot-luck this evening, despite the fact that she is NOT a member of the "Ladies Aide" - perhaps the funniest yet.

and then there is me - normal as can be! i don't know how it is that i am friends with such funny folks. hmmm.

Yum

This article is about my snacks at work.
Today I had some kind of hazelnut/chocolate/espresso kind. It was delicious.

I forgot to tell both of you on the phone:

Today I met Jason on campus after class, and he said that I was turning into mom because I was carrying around a little thermal mug with my tea in it. I myself knew this to be true the very moment that I took a big swig during my 2:30 class--the tea was cold by then, and I didn't even mind. I thought, "hmm, that's not so bad even when it's cold." And then I thought, "that's exactly what mom must think about her coffee in the car!"

How does Jason know about mom's coffee mug habits? Are we really that obvious?

I like you, mom. Turning into you isn't so bad after all (wink wink).

let the fun begin!

Oh boy, today is a homework day and what a day it will be!

Actually--there are really only two things that I need to accomplish, so if I can stick my nose to the grindstone (is that the right phrase?) I should be fine.

The bad news is that I'm not feeling so great. I started getting a sore throat last night and it got worse through the night. So today I am home-remedy lady, complete with honey in my tea and gargling with salt water. Oh, and Dayquil. So something should work.

Anyway--I'm going to run to the store (for more tea!) and then get to work.

I'm so happy that the LSAT is over!
